Benefits of Umrah in Ramadan are endless. It is a miracle that one Muslim gets an opportunity to do Umrah during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Every Muslim across the world tends to ask forgiveness and enter Jannah through good means. Every Muslim thrives to win the blessings of Allah. All Muslims tend to focus on the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). There are certain rewards one should immediately pursue. One is gaining the benefits of Umrah in Ramadan.
Let us first begin with the importance of the month of Ramadan and how the Umrah becomes even more significant in the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the fasting month for the Muslims. During this month, Muslims from all around the world enjoy fasting from sun rise to sun set. The overall objective is to facilitate the yearning of humbleness, tranquility and bear witness that the true creator is Allah. And all the activities that are set forth is only for him and Him alone.
Beautiful Hadiths Narrating the Main Benefits of Performing Umrah During the Fasting Month Ramadan
Ibn `Abbâs relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) asked a woman from Madinah: “What prevented you from embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage with us?”
She replied: “We had two camels. My husband and child took one and left the other for the rest of us to ride on.”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) then told her: “When the month or Ramadan arrives, go for ‘umrah, because `umrah in Ramadan is like accompanying me on Hajj.”
This beautiful hadith denotes the importance of performing Umrah during the Ramadan season. The prophet did not only declare the importance but the integrated value that it would mean performing Hajj with the greatest man on Earth. It is the dream of millions to simply have seen a glimpse of the Prophet Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Him) let alone accompanying him for a Hajj experience. This is the beauty of the hadith. It is a message to the millions of muslims across the world to perform Islamic rituals during the holy month of Ramadan.
However, the best Umrah packages are really expensive during the month of Ramadan. Due to the importance, millions of muslims tend to visit Saudi Arabia during this particular time. Even the cheapest hotels in Madinah Saudi Arabia are also all booked.
Rewards of Umrah In Ramadan
Though other hadiths also exist that clearly mention that performing Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj, it should not rule out the mandatory task for all Muslims to perform Hajj. This is only to give additional value to the month of Ramadan.
There are different scholarly opinions on the significance of Umrah during Ramadan. Some scholars state that Umah is also obligatory and the other scholars indicate that it is not mandatory. Irrespective of the conclusion of the verdict, it is critical to perform Hajj first and then also Umrah.
Verily similar to Hajj, you cannot perform Umrah during Ramadan if you neglect your family and social obligations. This is a serious problem. Though you need to get more blessings during the month of Ramadan however you cannot neglect your families and other obligations of work and kin. You cannot neglect parents or children to go to Umrah during ramadan.
Another mistake that many parents do is that they do take their children for Umrah but neglect their time and need during Umrah. You cannot neglect their needs at all. You need to spend time with them and not go secluded for your ibadat.
We encourage parents to take their kids to Umrah with following certain obligations and activities. To give the Umrah experience to kids is a spectacular and unique trip for them. Going to the holy place in the holy month is a milestone and a most memorable experience for children.
