My First Umrah Experience

So, it begins. The temptation as well as the unknowns. All of this is the norm for all the millions of Muslims who tend to pray and get the blessings of visiting the house of Allah. I wanted to take my mom with me. However, I was totally unaware of how to move forward. I had been trying to call all the regular agencies. The prices were simply comparable however the hotels and the stay were all unknown. You had to go and experience it first hand to become a true believer.

My First Umrah

I was online searching for the best Umrah Packages 2015 from Pakistan. I was able to inquire and get decent information. I needed a particular package plan that was accommodating of my expenses and gave me the maximum for my money. I opted with the Hajj and Umrah team experts. What I liked is the immediate response and connectivity. I was honest about my requirements and they were honest about the best packages in town.

What I do recommend others to do is the following four points:

  • Compare the best prices with everything inclusive. You would think that by not including the air fair and other services ¬†you would get a cheaper rate. This is far from the truth.
  • Read as much as you can regarding the tutorials and documents regarding the prayers, rituals and activities.
  • Understand the importance of the pilgrimage and the value it would have in your life.
  • Comprehend the change for the rest of our life.

People take many things for granted. Pilgrimage is not one of them. In fact, it is to be the most life changing aspect of all times. People need to see the reality and meaning behind going to the Umrah. Hadiths keep on providing us with the value of the pilgrimage.

As I finally approached the day to go, I had learnt as many of duas and surahs as I could. I wanted to make sure that I had a clear perspective of what to do. No sense in going without knowing what you can take out of the journey. In reality, nothing can prepare you for the first moment. It is simply breath taking. There has to be something said about the calmness, serenity and peace that holds you.

Umrah has to be performed during youth. There is so much beauty in the youthfulness of the activity. In old age, it becomes difficult and the activities can be tiresome and fatiguing. Another important lesson learnt was to do it in harmony. Do it in peace and with people that you love. You have to be kind to yourself and enjoy the spirituality of the activity.

One of the difficult parts was getting to know hajj and umrah information. So many experts sitting on the line providing services. It is critical to know the difference between the sound ones and the ones that are really not meeting the mark. There are so many restaurants, areas, houses and other facilities that you need to know prior to booking.

And that plays a part since our stay will depend upon how you live there. Hence, it is required to know. Where you stay ensures that type of people you meet and the experience changes immediately. Let me share with you an example We were staying at a local area place and we met some amazing people there that my mother really liked and the company was becoming great. So, if you have old parents go to places where there are others like them so that they can inter mingle.

The second aspect that I had to learn was the dressing associated with the ritual. Women dress for Umrah is exceptionally different. You need to know about the dressing and the main combinations. So many types to choose from.
